Digital Health LinkedIn Group Announcement on Infographic and TV Coverage
I sent the following announcement to 12,855 Digital Health group members on September 26, 2012:
Dear Digital Health group members,
I wanted to share a new infographic with you and some great consumer-facing television coverage of digital health…
DIGITAL HEALTH CONCEPTUAL INFOGRAPHIC
I collaborated with Sonny Vu and the team at Misfit Wearables on a one page infographic highlighting the concepts of digital health as presented by Dr. Eric Topol in his book, “The Creative Destruction of Medicine: How the Digital Revolution Will Create Better Health Care”.
Note that this is not the traditional, long-form infographic that we’re all accustomed to seeing. The primary data and future projections are focused on the number of human genomes sequenced and the increasing benefits derived from the application of digital technologies to health and medicine / healthcare. Reference this recent group poll on the progression of benefits. You can view the infographic via these two links and please do share your thoughts!

CONSUMER AWARENESS OF DIGITAL HEALTH IS GROWING!
As I recently reported in the group, a couple of high visibility consumer-facing TV programs featured comments on digital health by global thought leaders: Dr. Eric Topol appeared on The Doctors and Bill Clinton appeared on The Daily Show.
I wrote about the significance of this on the Popper and Company blog:
As always, I highly recommend that group members attend relevant conferences and other events. I curate an extensive global event list to facilitate finding these in your region. The events with logos represent my media partners, with whom I swap logos (I use the Digital Health group logo for this purpose).
I’ll be attending two great events coming up: Dr. Leslie Saxon’s USC Body Computing Conference on Oct 5 in Los Angeles and the NY eHealth Collaborative’s Digital Health Conference in New York City on Oct 15-16. I hope to see you there!
